About

Rick's work has been hailed by designers and style editors across the country and can be seen in many Washington area restaurants, lounges and private residences.

Rick realized early that his real passion was in taking found objects and re-purposing them into beautiful and unique lighting fixtures. Machine parts, antique toys, personal heirlooms and other items that would have otherwise ended up in landfills come to life in Rick's pieces. His work reflects an appreciation for the beauty of industrial design, and an ability to marry unrelated objects into lighting that creates a cohesive modern vision while paying homage to the past.

Rick Singleton was born in Baton Rouge and became interested in art from the first time he held a crayon. After graduating with a degree in fine arts from Louisiana State University, he moved to Washington, DC to begin his career in earnest, and currently splits his time between the DC area and his studio in St. Petersburg, FL.
